Sources and methodology
Where the facts come from
I use primary sources first and say which source each article relies on. The main ones:
- Vanuatu Citizenship Office and Commission: programme rules, regulations, forms and the official DSP checklist.
- Council of the European Union and EUR-Lex: decisions on visa-free travel.
- GOV.UK: UK entry rules.
- Official websites of other programmes I compare, such as the Dominica CBIU and IMA Grenada.
- Passport Index for destination counts.
- Published cost data and practice notes from BRIDGES, where official figures are not published in an easily checked form. When I rely on BRIDGES data, I say so.
How I check and date information
- Each article shows an "Updated" date. It changes only when the facts are reviewed, not for cosmetic edits.
- Figures are given as at the date of review. If sources disagree, I say so and explain which figure I use.
- I do not publish client stories, reviews or statistics I cannot verify.
How often the guides are updated
All articles are reviewed at least once a quarter, and immediately after any official change to the programme, its fees or the visa rules.
Corrections
If you find an error, please tell us through the contact page. Corrections are made and the update date is changed.
